I am having an issue with the Y axis sticking. When i jog the Y on a slow speed it works okay when i speed it up it is almost like it is binding up and does not move. One of the couplers was bad and had a new one sent out. I installed the new one today but it seems to be doing the same thing but less then what it did before. I try to home it and it starts to move but ends with the Y chattering after only moving a inch or so. I have check a good portion of everything and i think it seems to be okay... any ideas on something i could be missing?

This kind of problem usually has just a few potential causes:
1) misalignment between coupler, lead screw, antibacklash nut, and idler bearing block. If you get towards one extreme of travel and it binds this is most likely the issue. You could try to float the idler bearing and motor in place by loosening them and moving the machine towards that end of travel. That will help align things. 2) antibacklash nuts and or v wheels too tight. If it stalls anywhere along travel this is more likely the case. 3) settings are wrong. This could happen for a couple different reasons, but if they aren’t factory defaults it could cause problems. 4) one stepper driver is shutting down momentarily or underpowered. This could happen if the fan wasn’t blowing on them or if the driver was set different than 0,65 vol
Hope that helps.
