I got the Carve King together today and it all moves in the right directions just not smoothly. In the video I am holding down the appropriate keys to make the moves continuous and they stop every few inches. Additionally the gantry seems to not be staying together on both sides as it moves. I actually think it has to do with the electronics that got smashed in shipping. I know you said you were going to try to straighten the pins but based on this behavior in swing in this video I think those boards must be cracked. Let’s get more to you.

Derek, I checked today and the voltages on the stepper drivers were off. Not sure how I did that. Adjusted them and it improved things. Seem to have some binding on the Z axis. The Y seems noisy compared to the Z and X. Let me know if you still think there is an issue with the electronics or if this looks more like physical adjustments. I think the Z is a matter of physical adjustment; probably some misalignment between motor and antibacklash nut. It could also be that the V wheels are too tight there. The Y is a bit noisy which can be a matter of alignment but Im not concerned if there aren’t performance issues.

Spoke too soon. Still having issues. Seems the left and right motors for the Y axis aren't staying in sync. Sometimes one starts before the other or they just get out of sync while running. In the attached image the top one is from the old M3 and the bottom is from the Carve King. I remember that you said the electronics got crushed in shipping. If a board is cracked you’ll have issues like this. Let’s just replace them for you.

Thanks. Settings look fine. Also, I looked at the video again on a larger screen. Are the couplers both tight to the shaft and the screw? Either the motor isn't actually turning at the same speed and time as the other or its occasionally spinning in the coupler or the coupler is spinning on the lead screw. I think that's a decent possibility too.
Just confirm that for me when you get a moment please.

The couplers didn't feel loose but I torqued them down just a bit more anyway and it does seem to have improved the situation a lot. The cut still isn't perfect but I need to do some more tests. I notice the Y axis seems to still bind a bit when it gets close to the end of the travel toward the back of the machine. May be I just still need to keep tweaking the alignment, etc. In the picture the bottom image is the one after tightening the couplers. Attachments:
