We've launched a new blog. I plan for there to be a weekly posting. I may or may not record a video for YouTube of me just saying the same things to the camera for anyone that just hates reading. The first post answers the question "Is CNC for me?" I explain my perspectives on what you need to be successful with this hobby. I also address a few things you don't need to get a good start in CNC. I suspect that most of you that have already have gotten your start will have already discovered the same, but I expect this will be helpful to those that haven't taken the plunge yet. I plan to cover a ton of different things. I'll talk about workholding, CAD, CAM, selecting the right machine, and maybe even talk about some things we do on the industrial machines. Keep and eye out for it. The plan is to post a new one every Sunday. Check it out here: millrightcnc.com/2018/06/is-cnc-for-me/Derek

Fantastic! As a newbie, this is exactly the type of information I've been searching for as it pertains to Millrights CNC products. It's nice to be able to find "general" information regarding the use of CNC but to be able to read something which applies directly to the equipment I use, perfect! Thanks!

Very useful idea! Once you get rolling, you could consider making a sticky post for blog topic suggestions. Personally I'd like to see more videos or posts on toolpaths and feedrates in Fusion360. That's the steepest learning curve for me coming from the FDM world.
