I occasionally get a build up of chips on my new 60 degree V-Bit if I have a contour that is long and the bit stays down. My depth of cut is .023. The short cuts usually sling it off when it retracts. Is there a general rule about what works best? (ie a faster/slower cut rate or faster/slower router speed) Is there a happy medium?
Thanks, DJ

Slower router speed and/or faster feed usually helps. The tool needs to be really sharp. For instance, you wouldn't want to cut MDF with the tool then move it over to a plastic. I try to designate certain end mills in my stash that only get used for plastic so I know they are good and sharp.
