So, I've been doing a lot of 2D contour cutting with my M3 lately. And, one of the things I've noticed is the amount of tear out I'm seeing on one side of the projects. Now, from what I've read, this is normal with the type of bit I'm using (generic single flute 1/8").
What brand or type of end mill should I be looking for to alleviate some of the tear out?
Oh, I forgot to mention. I'm cutting 3/4" hardwoods like oak, maple, hickory, etc.
Thanks!

I order a lot of the smaller bits here. www.precisebits.com/

I was looking at the fishtail bits. They say this design helps to eliminate backside break out and splintering. Any experience with this type of bit?

The last ones I bought were these and they work great for carving out pockets for the inlays I do. The pockets are 1/8 deep. I use them for cutting the inlay parts too. MD208-0625-024F 1/16in (0.0625 in, 1.588mm) dia 2-flute Downcut fish-tail end-mill, 0.240 in. max DOC, 1.5 in. OAL $10.33 each
