So when you guys are running some big projects, like over an hour, to cut something. What do you do with your time? I get super bored. I normally try and work on making up more projects but uggh..lol Just curious what you guys do with the down time. Last night i did one took 2hrs and 24mins lol..that was just the endmill part then I had to do a Vcarve on it to..

Hah, good question. I design more things. Usually I'm working on something while I watch it. Cruise the forum, answer emails, etc.

The jobs I run are no where near that long but I try to have other work to do in the shop like sanding, finishing, misc woodworking tasks, prepping other jobs, etc.

If I had internet in my shop, I might do the internet thing. But as of right now I don't. So i usally make all my projects on my computer in the house and use the usb drive to bring them to my big detached garage/shop.

Good "In-Ear Monitors" will block even more sound than ear-muffs by themselves. This set comes with some nice foam earpieces, as well as the annoying rubber things pictured. I typically have an audiobook playing while slowly cleaning up the constant mess that is my woodshop... -Kev

I use Shure in-ear monitors with noise isolation.

I put my earbuds under my ear-muffs, turn up the tunes, and knit!
