Wasn't careful and installed the T Nuts on the wrong side of the bed. I tried prying one out but it just started to lift the MDF. I'm not sure if MillRightCNC has replacement beds available. Any ideas on how to salvage this? Attachments:

We do have replacements but I'd rather not have to do that because you'd be in the 35 bucks range after shipping. Before we cross that bridge I would do a little surgery if I were you. Flip the bed over and put something like a punch down the hole that is just about that hole size... something that isn't small enough to strike the threads. Then, leaving a space underneath for the nut to fall out, strike that punch with a hammer. That way it is knocking more or less straight out instead of prying. It will still leave it a little messed up but you can probably sand it back flat. I can't promise it won't butcher it, but that's what I would try over trying to pry it with a flat head or something like that.

I'll try that first this week and hopefully not destroy the finish on the other side, wish me luck

Thread one of the bolts in from the bottom, smack with mallet. Done. Smack on the bolt treaded into the T Nuts worked great, but dang it looks ugly now. I'll probably place a 1/4" MDF waste board on top of the bed anchored down on all four corners. Attachment DeletedAnyone have a drill diagram for all the holes on the bed?

Lol man, I would not have expected it to pull that much paint away. You should be using a spoil board anyway so no loss. As for bolt holes, I covered this somewhere else in the forums. I taped paper together laid it and taped it on the bed and using a pencil, rubbed the edges of the holes. Works perfect.

Nice recovery. That's what being a maker is all about... making it happen.

Whew, I'm glad this post was here. I was wondering which side the T nuts go in when I saw this post. I was actually right but this made me feel better. I was even going to post a photo and ask if this was the correct side. Well back to the build

That's the beauty of a forum bobbatt. There's a good chance someone else has run into it before!
