Is Pecan worth milling? I have a few slices out of a coworker's fallen tree. They're cured and fit perfectly in the carve king's build area. Should I use hardwood settings to mill it? Thanks!

If you can secure it down to the work base of the Carve King you should be able to mill it. Settings depend on the tool type and tool path you're using. You may need to plane it down to get a flat surface to work on.

Thanks for the reply! I just got my first planing bit today, so I'll need to figure out how to use that now. =)

Yep, I would just use hardwood settings and let her fly. We have some pecan trees that the wind gets to quite often. I have a stack of wood I’ve been wanting to cut up.

I recently found some Olive wood I'm going to try. Bargain store cutting boards.
