I'm having a tough time finding a spindle mount for a 65mm spindle motor. None of the existing mounts I find on ebay really fit well on the Crave King Z axis mount. I tried making one out of wood but I cracked it as I was tightening it down on the motor. So I'm looking at using something like acetal (delrin), HDPE, UHMW or some other plastic based material to make another one.
Question: Which is better for this application? The acetal is pricey and I would have to glue several 1/4" layers together to get the thickness needed. I can get 1" thick HDPE for a pretty reasonable cost. Any suggestions welcome.

Tensile strength of delrin is much higher than HDPE (as well as price), but for this application I think you can do just fine with HDPE.

Have a look at the dimensions on a DW660 mount. They are close to that a I think.
