I would like to cut a 3.5" diameter hole 1/8" deep into solid bamboo (a flooring plank). I have an M3 with a Bosch Colt 1hp router attached. Is it possible? Does anyone have suggestions for the bit type, size, federate, and depth for each pass?

Does anyone have suggestions for the bit type, size, federate, and depth for each pass? That should be no problem at all for the M3. If you have a 1/4 mill that will be faster but a 1/8 mill will work also. A 1/4 will do it in one pass. A 1/8 would probably be best to do two passes. As a general rule I don't do a pass deeper than half the diameter of the mill. Others may have better suggestions.
