Hi, this is my first time assembling the M3, and I have the hardest time with tensioning the belts. I found the following trick to make it easy to do it. First loosen the idle pulley bracket so that it could tilt forward by maybe 10-20 degree. Then do the same thing as you do before with the belt, except with just enough tension so that the belt won't be too loose. Screw the idle pulley bracket down. Now, the belt would be fairly tight.
