Been wanting a quality dust boot that will accept a 4" dust collector hose - don't have the time to build one so purchased this one from Kent CNC - it's extremely well made and fits perfectly. The brush in the photo is the longer - you can purchase shorter. Although folks have called this pricey - the bench time would've cost twice the asking price - so for me this is a bargain at 150.00 bucks. Very happy. However, will check back once it has been in service awhile and update with an overview of the boot.

Thanks for sharing. Please do report in when you get some testing time in it. It looks great!

Absolutely - also finally got a new bench squared away - this one has some ball bearing drawers - still have to put the fronts on them . . . but it's made of Baltic birch and is incredibly solid. It is 40 deep, 60 wide and 37 high . . .really excited to get going with it as soon as I figure out where I lost an allen screw

Very nice setup for the Power Route. Has the Carve King been relegated to the storage room now? lol

is there anything in place to redirect the exhaust air from the bottom of the router? Somebody posted about this topic. They did some test redirecting the router fan air...maybe Hommer Woods did this or remembers the thread?

I have since made another version that is held on the bottom of the router by one of the screws for the spindle lock rather than by clamping it on to the router body. It does help as I am using a shop vac. I would think if you have a real dust collection system it might not be necessary but don't know. millrightcnc.proboards.com/thread/1495/power-route-dust-bootAttachments:

Thanks Stephen. You know now that I think about it I have noticed the exhaust air velocity from my spindle is pretty high. Maybe something to consider when deciding between a water cooled and air cooled spindle.
