On page 29 of the manual there is a picture of the CNC Shield board (top of page). You can see the labels for the X and Z axis under the 4 pin connectors located to the right of the purple driver boards. The Y and A connectors are on the far right of the board. The "A" connector should be set as the dual stepper motor for the Y axis. Review page 28 of the manual.

Just got the power route built. Started things up but the y stepper motor seems to freeze and make clicking noises. Seems to heat up. Could this be a bad motor? All other motors work fine.

Corbin, Did you get this problem worked out. The stepper motors will heat up and is normal. Check the connections of the stepper motor to the control unit and the cables are plugged in securely to the CNC Shield board.
