So I’m just getting started and trying to underthe technique of zeroing the edge finder. Is the a separate button to set for each axis once you have touched off XYZ ? And does the software automatically adjust for the .200 “ overall diameter of the edge finder? Thank you

There are a couple different versions of UGS with different probing functions. They’ll only work if you have a probe set up.
You usually only want t zero to the very edge of something if you are machining features into it, such as engraving a blank plaque. If you have a panel of wood that you are contouring a piece out from you normally start a little inside of it, if not in the center. It depends on how you have the origin set in CAM.
If you find the edge by approaching it and using a feeler gauge then the center of the tool (center of tool is what matters) is this far from the edge: Tool radius + gauge thickness
