New to CNC. Purchased the Carve King in July been working nicely. Decided to upgrade to the laser. I hooked it up, updated the program on UNO and was able to focused the laser. However, after I homed and centered the laser and try to run the program to lase, I keep getting an error about exceeding the travel of the machine. I tried to go back and run a carving program, now I'm getting the same error. While typing this I think I figured it out. The laser is not centered, it should be to the front left of the work piece? I will try this. However, why did I get the same error when I went back to carve a project? Do I now have to start my carve projects at the front left as well? Thanks in advance. Attachments:

So, I started the laser at the front left of the medium (wood) and it works fine. I will check to see if I need to start the carve at the front left at a later date.

Typically soft limits are disabled. GRBL setting: $20 = 0 (Soft limits enable=1, boolean). But it may be used for the laser for some reason.

Yes, I've got it working. Need to set zero's to the front right of the work piece when using the laser. I haven't checked the carve yet to see what happened there yet.
