Can you use this software for engraving Yes, I'm learning that now... Unfortunately, you have to "trace" the text first, then you can setup an engrave in the CAM. Checkout this video - Checkout this Youtube VideoJ

Checkout this video - Checkout this Youtube VideoJ You shouldn't have to trace first. And just to clarify, are we talking V-bit carving or are we talking a spring loaded engraving point? They will both use the same operation, however how you approach setup will be different

I watched it again and see where the confusion is.
He was showing the difference between trace and engraving. When he moved into the engraving portion, he was telling you how to copy from the trace operation so you wouldn't have to go select all the paths again.
