WOW. I just hit stop on a job, hit start not realizing when I hit stop it switched from inches to mm, and it drove my bit into my base, and snapped my 1/4 engraver bit at the shank without thinking twice. This machine is a BEAST!

Yeah. I had to get much more careful moving from my little plywood starter to the PowerRoute. It really does like to follow directions. Now to go see about that mm/Inch bug you're hitting!

I had the same thing happen to me. I switched from MM to inches (Fusion/GRBL) and it would drive the bit into the board. Oddly enough the issue went away after a reboot of my PC.
