The lead screw on my machine keeps popping out as soon as I try to do anything beyond manually milling. The whole machine moves perfectly and then pop, it just comes out. Any ideas on how to fix it? I bought this 1.5 years ago and since become mildly proficient at CNC machining on larger HAAS machines. I can't figure out what is wrong with the thing. Everything works, and this happens each time. Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed light on this issue.

I thought I had tightened them down. I will try tightening them down harder. I will make a video I can upload to youtube if this continues.

If the set screws are nice and tight, might want to check that the backlash plastic thing isn't too tight and binding up.

Anyone live near Grand Rapids Michigan? I am in the Grandville suburb and I will happily pay someone to fix this at this point.

I'd be happy to help, but I'm in Georgia just like Millright CNC😁
I think each pillow block has two set screws, not sure if you are tightening both. Also, try clocking the rods so their thread majors line up with the set screws. Guessing the set screws might be bottoming on the thread minors, allowing them to thread much deeper and not have as much thread engagement with the pillow block.
Once they are tight, blue thread lock might help them from loosening. But be careful not to get the thread lock on the wheels, it will destroy them.

MillRight Carve King Build Day 4 Duel Y axis lead screw installation. He doesn't show the tightening of the set screws on the pillow block but after everything is aligned there are two set screws that should be tightened on the end of the lead screw.

Everybody is right bud. The set screws in the pillow block bearing will keep it from walking.
You can handle it for sure.
