My Carve King arrived yesterday, and I sat down to start assembly this morning. I had all of the parts for my V Wheels, except I appear to be missing 4 bearings. There were 40 in 4 tubes of 10 each, and the instructions say to assemble 22. Have the instructions changed, and only 20 are needed (I see where it calls for all 22 later on), are they packaged differently or somewhere else, or are they just missing?

While I'm at it, can anyone tell me if the anti-backlash nut is supposed to be angled this severely? i.imgur.com/vLtfiXV.jpgi.imgur.com/HLGMdxP.jpg - flipped it around just in case the work surface was bowed. i.imgur.com/TwW724F.jpgi.imgur.com/4vJ3NaI.jpgIt takes a moderate amount of pressure to fit it into the coupler, and once attached it is nearly impossible to turn the lead screw by hand, and extremely difficult to turn via the motor coupler. It seems like this might cause binding. I'd like to make sure before going any further into the assembly and risk something breaking later on. Thanks.

The lead screw shouldn't be that much off center with the coupler. There is definitely something askew.
I think you have the gap to wide in anti-backlash nut. Remove the lead screw, close the gap in the nut and re-thread the lead screw in again. It should turn easily after install. Make sure you installed the offset spacer between the anti-backlash nut and the Z axis plate. Review the assembly of the Z axis in the manual on page 8.

The gap in the ant-backlash nut is set per the instructions, " Just thread it in to the point that it bottoms out against the inside of the nut then STOP threading", loosening the set screw doesn't narrow the gap at all. The spacer is definitely installed (I missed that the first time, and it was even more off-center before I placed it in). I have reviewed that section multiple times. I am about 90% certain now that the anti-backlash nuts provided were defective. I replaced the one on the Z-axis plate with one I acquired elsewhere, and there's a huge difference: imgur.com/a/6SKY0uuThe new nut is almost perfectly centered on the coupler, and you can see there is much more of a gap on the left side with the new one in the pictures. The question is, assuming that the provided nuts are defective, do I continue assembling to see what else may or may not be missing/defective, or just request new parts now and see if it all works later?

Oh, Ok I see what your saying now. Wow that is odd. I missed the angle of the rod in the nut when it should be parallel with the table. I'd just email Derek at support@millrightcnc.com and maybe reference this thread. You will need new Anti-backlash nuts. Those are messed up.

I have to say, so far I am disappointed with the Carve King, starting to regret not going with a different vendor.
