Hey guys, so I got new motors tested and all was fine until I went to cut the wires on the old motor. I just disconnected the power but didnt let the Residual electricity dissipate like I was warned about on one of the pages in the card key manual. What a dope I was. Welp had promising results until that. Now i have no responce from any of the motors. Non active any more. I thought maybe it would only short out the stepper driver that the motor i short circuited. But replaced it with a new one and still no responce. Any suggestions? Do I need to replace the uno and shield or any other solution would be super appreciated. Thank!

Here are a few things to check: 1. Check the voltage from the 24V power supply with a meter. 2. Check if the PC sees the Uno USB/serial driver in the Windows Device Manager. 3. Check the voltage setting on the driver board.
Post what you find.

I have 24v on the power supply. 2nd I have a recognized port on the devise manger on my laptop named "USB-SERIAL CH340 (COM 5)" 3RD All the driver trim screws show a consistent .65 pluss or minus .002 on the Potentiometer. UGS will work just fine but absolutely no response from shield and jog controls. Hope this helps you/us to identify another problem.... Thanks again forum guru

Device Manager should list "Arduino UNO R3 (COM5)" if you have a connection to the Arduino. The CH340 is just the USB to serial chip itself. Looks like you did indeed messed up the UNO board. I would send an email to support@millrightcnc.com Reference this post. You may want to send the control boards in to be checked out.
