First let me say the instructions and labeling with this kit are fantastic. I did not have a spindle when I assembled the MillRight. I made a make shift sharpie holder and it has "cut" several basic test designs correctly. But I seem to be getting 2 different noises which I believe are coming from the Y axis, but only when the X and Y are moving at the same time. Perhaps this is normal? This is my first venture into CNC of any type. I've watched many videos, however they all seem to have the spindle running, which makes comparison tough. Here are a couple of quick cell phone videos I took today. (They are 35mb each.. Sorry) Video 1Video 2I have a feeling my Y axis eccentrics may need to be adjusted? Or Im maxing the power supply at 5amp? Thanks

Hey Jon,
Unfortunately I'm on a very bad internet connection right now (out of the country for a few days) so I could only get the first three or four seconds of each video to load. In the very little bit that I heard I do not hear anything wrong here. Moving in X and Y simultaneously often have a little different sound to it than just moving one independently. If your eccentrics are too tight you will have flat spots develop on them where the material experiences what is called "creep". This will cause a little cogging along that can actually be felt as "catchy" motion by slowly pushing the axis along by hand (with all power off).
The power supply isn't really getting taxed, even moving all three together.
Hope that helps. If I missed a significant change in the ssound by only being able to hear the first few seconds of things please let me know.
Regards, Derek

It's possible that the sound is normal. Everything moves easily by hand. There are no clunk or skipping sounds. I don't have a lot of experience with these type of stepper motors, so I might be concerned over nothing. Thanks for the reply. If you wouldn't mind watching those links when you get a chance, just to set my mind at ease, I would appreciate it. Thanks
