Hello, I am in need of a table or cart to put the Carve King on. Does anyone have any suggestions for places to look? Or would share what they’ve done for theirs? I’ve tried google searching and Pinterest. Thanks!

I think most have just built one, though I've head of a few people buying work benches that are already made from places like Rockler.

I have signed up for the small Mega V on Kickstarter, and I am going to build a table for it. I have the M3 now, and I just have it on my workbench because it is so small, light, and easy to move.

I've built all my other workbenches so I figure I will do this one also. But, being a newbie, and just running a slow small machine for now, I'm wondering if you want to just fit the footprint for ease of access to the bed, or have some space around it for stuff you need when working.

My idea was to have the router sitting on top, with shelves/drawers underneath for storage. I’ve seen several ideas I’ve liked, but my concern is dust. I plan on having a shopvac hooked up but am wondering if I should enclose the router as well, to help reduce the dust spreading around.

I personally like to have a little extra room to put stuff. Sometimes I feel like you can never have enough table surface.

However, Mega V's come with a dust shoe. I already have a cyclone that attaches to my shop that does an amazing job of getting the fines. However, I just clean up by had every so often. But I figure with a shoe I'll be good. I'm just paranoid about the computer equipment and electronics. If you don't have the laser, I would say that an enclosure is overkill.

Thinking about machine placement and access, I'm toying with the idea of drop tables. My tool box has one, how hard can it be for the table. What do you all think, we got time to kick this around.

What do you mean by a drop table? For some reason I am not familiar with the term.

I like the drop table idea. Would you secure the mega v to the table and then drop (fold) it down when you are not using it? There are probably several ways to design this type of table.

Yep, thinking 2 inches over on the footprint, and then drops on 3 (?) sides. But i'm also toying with the idea of a portable cart / table. Wouldn't have to clean off the table before dropping it. It could have tool holders and common tools and just roll up when needed.

Here's another idea, if you want to get some sound proofing, make them fold up into an enclosure.
