I wanted to try using epoxy for highlighting detailed work in wood. I tested some patterns on MDF, then did a final run in Poplar. I used gold acrylic paint to dye the epoxy, which ended up blending in with the stain I used. If I were to do it again, I would go with a brighter color for the dye. I was also super messy when I applied the epoxy and when I sanded, so the wood stain didn't take perfectly.

That's a great idea to dress up a drawer face. I've not seen the M3 put to use for that purpose, but I like the results.

That does look pretty cool. Good finish work too.
Did you design these patterns or did you find them somewhere. If you did find them, mind disclosing the source?

I found the patterns somewhere else... unfortunately I don't remember the name or place of the sources. I believe it was grabcad or thingiverse, and I searched terms like pattern, victorian, carving, detailed... but I tried these searches again and can't find the patterns.

What kind of tool did you use for the cutting?

I started with an 1/8" flat endmill then did a finishing pass with a 1/16" flat endmill.
