Just did my initial cuts on the new machine and I am STOKED! CNC is new for me in all aspects so I am looking for help. Is there any place that I can find files for sale or for free? I've found a few but not many. And some of those have the same stuff. Or maybe someone who writes the files as requested? I want to get into doing my own but I need something to get me going. Right now I feel like a kid with a brand new toy at Christmas that didn't come with batteries.

There are many places that sell files. Etsy & Ebay are a couple to name. I buy from 3dwave.org for high-quality files. They make their own files to sell. You will notice over time, sketchy people steal others' work and try to resell them. As for getting files made, I use someone off of Facebook that was recommended to me. So the people are out there that can make files for you to cut. You can also try Fivver.com to have custom made files. I have now used Fivver twice and the lady from Facebook to make me files. Thingaverse, grabcad are a couple other webistes. You can also use vector tracing in Vetrics software to make your own files. Here's a video from Mark Lindsey on vectors. I would suggest watching him along with Papaw's Work Shop youtube channels. youtu.be/wnJKh1obXXM

If you want to do simple v-carving with a v-bit I search for black-white graphics or silhouette style drawings which are really easy to convert in inkscape to a vector.

Hi Fancyfirewood, I can provide these CAD files for you if you try and cnc a CAD file for me? I am going to buy a millright m3 but I need to see if it's capable for my use first.

When I started on my m3, completely new to cnc, I used easel pro to import silhouettes and black and white clip art from google searches, as Bruce suggested. This is a great way to get familiar with v carving. Easel pro is $20 a month and great for starting out, if you’re going to do v carves. I currently use vcarve, but that’s besides the point.
I’ve had good luck browsing google for free svg’s. I’ve also found that some people that post videos on YouTube offer free downloads on their websites.
