About a month ago I emailed Lars Christensen (a.k.a Fusion360 Evangelist) at Autodesk asking how to use Rest machining in Fusion 360, specifically using a 1/8" endmill for Roughing and then a 1/16" endmill for a detailed finishing pass. I was very surprised then he emailed me back right away and sent me a Fusion360 project file showing all of his chosen CAM toolpaths using his workflow. I was pleasantly surprised to see a new take on making a simple 2D square pocket that had crisp corners. You can view the project file he sent here: a360.co/2pC4SA5 (in the top right corner of the webpage you can download the Fusion360 Archive file format and load it in your Fusion360. Learned a lot from this example file and figured I would share here, Enjoy! from LARS: 1. Rough with 2D Adaptive leaving material on side and bottom 2. Use 2D Pocket with Rest machining to remove material in the corners (eliminate as much chatter as possible 3. Use 2D Pocket to finish the floor with Stock to Leave on the wall (This toolpath should only do the floor) 4. Use 2D Contour to finish the wall and blend with the floor
