Have a question about Vetric. In toolpaths/ material setup....at bottom there is start/home position....I want to come in .250 in X and .250 in Y from my corner of material, so that I can get a good spot to get zero, instead of on corner where bit is half off of material, and because center of material will be milled away. Is that what this operation is for in that menu? Tried it in XY datum (offset), but it moves the workpiece over

If you home your machine and set the X-Y workpiece zero then you shouldn't have to worry with it again with tool changes. Just set the Z axis height for a new tool. And this can be any location on the workpiece that has the original workpiece zero Z axis height.

OK, another question. Anybody else having problems with vectric desktop update? when I brought flash drive into shop, ran bcnc, homed machine. went to start the file and spindle moved maybe .250" in X and Y and stopped. I tried this 3 times, even designing from scratch and running gcode again, same result. I went back to old version of vectric, no problem.
update: I just saw another update, maybe this patch will fix that problem.
