Someone posted about the Carve King on the hobby CNC sub-reddit asking for opinions. Someone (who does really great work) with another machine insisted that the Carve King was too weak a machine to do what his machine does. I'd never cut steel on the Carve King, but I felt obliged to demonstrate it's capabilities. Here is a very poor quality video demonstrating the Carve King cutting steel. Oil got on the lens, but you guys get the point: 18 IPM feed rate 9 IPM ramp 3 IPM plunge 0.025" depth of cut single flute carbide 1/8" end mill with DWP611 on full speed These settings were a bit aggressive, but I'd say this is killing it for a machine this inexpensive. We aren't calling the Carve King a "steel capable machine", but it looks like in a pinch it will sure do. http://instagram.com/p/BVnmKdUlznx

This video is incredible, the Carve King is milling steel at a federate that would be impressive if it were aluminum.
Congratulations, it looks like the Carve King is another grand slam for Millright CNC.
