Hi everyone - I'm the creator of the original design, Azteca Wars. I'm a big supporter of fan art so if you make one for personal use just make sure you don't sell copies. If you like that design, check out my other work at www.nopalArt.com - David Gonzalez David, as Derek said thanks. Absolutely not for sale (although a few friends have asked). It's on the wall in my shop (aka garage). I found the DXF file on a Facebook CNC group a while back. Didn't know at the time who made it or where it came from but thought I'd give it a shot being that I'd never cut anything that complex before. Then started seeing it pop up all over the place like wild fire... If anyone else asks about it or asks about buying one they will absolutely be directed to your website! Your work is awesome.

Yea I felt like it was a right of passage to cut it lol. First of all, very nice work man. I'm working on this right now and have some problems. What toolpath operation are you using and what bit? When I do V carve (using Aspire) it carves material out of faces instead of just running on the line.

I don't know about Vcarve, so maybe look for something a toolpath that references engraving instead of carving. Also look for references of path on line or tool centered on boundaries.

I wanted to use Fusion 360 but it would not load, F-Engrave loaded super fast. I used a 30 degree v bit by the way, but you can use a 60 also.

Thx Jason, I had not heard of F-Engrave. Another software resource I'll stick in the file.

There is so much to learn. Gonna play with it more this week. Found a toolpath that look pretty good on monitor. Thank you for advice.

At first I thought you were using ball nose. Thank you for advice.

If you're going to do alot of V-carving (using a V-bit like this) then learning F-engrave would be well worth your efforts. My Software set consists of F-engrave, ArtCam, and Fusion. Fusion can do all things but sometimes it's easier just to go to one of the other 2.
