Forum, please see attached images. This is custom art I have made with circle of 36 inch diameter. My art file and my final carving are shown in the images. I have HAND CUT this art with a variable speed handheld jig saw (no scroll saw available is big enough). This is CRAZY and not sustainable. It takes me 30 hours to carve them perfect, is stressful, and means each art piece is a one-off. I could never make another, because I only have enough 'heart' to make each design once [and I have 4 young children]. I need a CNC machine badly. Maybe I need the V XL with the 35x35" table? Friends of mine from 3 Oak Handcrafted in Brevard, NC (killer woodshop with custom furniture) believe the art could be made by using three passes in phases: 1/4 inch bit for bigger open areas, then 1/8" for detail, then a laser to clean up all edges and interior 90 deg. angles. CAN A MILL RIGHT CNC MACHINE CUT THIS ART? Attachment Deleted

Let me add - the boards I cut are 1 inch thick spruce/pine. Thanks.

The Mega V XL should be able to do a cut like this. You are right that it will have trouble with the interior 90 degrees. You can us a v bit to help a bit as the design of the bit allows sharp interior angles, although you cannot cut all the way through. We do have a laser attachment that will help with your planned projects.
You will need to go slow and cut with a sharp bit on the thinner places, like the woman's face. A dull bit can grab the thinner pieces and mess up your 12h cut easily if you are not careful.
A little patience, a bit of trail and error, and some experience should see you cutting projects like this. Check out the gallery page on the MillRight CNC website and the project pictures here and on the Facebook Groups. Our customers post some very intricate and detailed pieces.
