The piece is about 4 inches by 4 inches. Roughed with a 1/8" ball nose Finished with a 1/16" ball nose Profiled out with a 1/4" ball nose The wood is purple heart. Most ops were run at about 100 to 110 IPM with the RPM adjusted to hit my desired chip load for the particular tool. http://instagram.com/p/BWqNAmaAFWl

Someone else mentioned that to me on social media. Those are actually lines in the grain of the wood showing. The finishing operation was a spiral out at 7 thou stepover, so it's definitely not marks from tooling.

Looks great would say if it was sealed you wouldn't notice the lines as much. Love to colour need to get my hands on some of it. Where do you get it from ? Not just a local hardware anyway can't say I've ever seen it before around here.
