Hey folks. I made use of the 'land-on-surface' open bed frame design of my MegaV XL Plasma machine this past week, cutting a 48.375" round steel plate with the 35x35" workarea. It came out very satisfactorily. I used Fusion360 to design the fire pit, 3 components, then exported the dxf for import into LightBurn laser CAD/CAM. I added my leadins and seam/bend perforations to make for easier break bending of 16ga. mild steel, and made use of LBs CAM/toolpath generator for laser process, then post processed that gcode to convert to plasma process. I use LB for all of my artsy crafty laser and plasma process work, so I didn't bother with figuring it out in Fusion360.
