Howdy all!
Ive gotten my Mega V XL almost completely assembled…
The video links in the documentation that came with the machine aren’t accessible.
(they’re either private links or invalid. Sigh)
There seems to be some information I’m missing that’s probably just incredibly obvious to someone that knows what they’re doing..
ALAS, that’s not me.
the page here:
millrightcnc.com/product/millright-cnc-mega-v-router-bundle/
- the actual router installation and setup.
- how is the router supposed to attach to the mount and have its depth remain correct?
- attaching the laser to the mount
- I don’t quite understand how the laser is supposed to attach to the mount?
the pieces included don’t quite make sense to me.

this doc seems like it’s supposed to make sense, but I’m lost… it has lots of exceptions all over the place and it’s hard to identify the context relevant to my hardware config
And to know where the irrelevant context ends
(Contrived example: do this, unless you wear green socks, then do that.
It’s not obvious (to me) if that means:
Blue socks:
Do: this, that (once this is complete)
Dont: none
Green socks:
Do: that
Dont: this
or
Blue socks:
Do: this
Dont: that
Green socks:
Do: that
Dont: this
does that make sense? It’s not clear in the docs where the negation context’s scope is applicable.
initial testing to validate all is worky:
how am I to validate things are properly setup?
I still have no clue how I’m supposed to actually interact with the cnc, but that’s irrelevant until the machine build is finished
if anyone has some insight they could share it would be helpful. I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to figure out the last few questions.
