I assembled my Karv King 2 last weekend and feel as though I have it wired correctly however testing hasnt provided me with much confidence. I hooked it up to my laptop and when doing the machine set up in Easil the testing didnt go so well. Easil has a part where you test the x,y, and z axis and either they didnt work at all or some did but not correctly. I dont know if its an Easil issue or a machine issue. The controller board also seems to be upside down in the enclosure. Is there a sure proof way to test the machine once built?

You can download Universal G Code Sender from the resources page at millrightcnc.com. It will be the 9th option on the page. You will need to Extract the file, preferably on your desktop. Once you do, open the ugsplatform file then bin file. You will see two ugsplatform applications in the bin file, one for 64 bit computers and one for 32 bit computers. Either will work. You can right click either one to add a shortcut to your desktop or pin it to your task bar.
If you get a notice saying you need java 1.8 or higher go to java.com and hit the download button on the front page.
Once UGS is open click the reset button (2 arrows making a circle) at the top left of the screen. Should select the proper port. Click the connect button (black male and female plug icon further to the left). The plugs should connect and turn yellow. You should see the $ settings scroll across the console screen.
Check your XY step size, Z Step size, and feed rate in the Jog Controller window. May be set to 1, 1, 10 respectively. Change to 10, 4, 2,000.
You should be able to move the machine and check that the axis are moving in the correct direction.
