I've gotten my power route XL up and running and have been making a lot of cuts on aluminum easily enough with the machine. The spindle trams up very well and all axes move smoothly. I spent a lot of time making sure that the frame was square before I flipped the table over and haven't had any other issues in fine tuning the machine. What has been giving me trouble though is getting the X and Y axis orthogonal to one another. Right now I'm a roughly 0.15" out over 9 inches it seems (After checking my cut against a machinist square). Given that there is this much deviation, I'm chalking it up to user error more than the hardware. Although I think it's worth mentioning that a couple of my extrusions had some bows and twists in them as well as my linear guides.
Anyone have any pointers in getting this squared up? Also what should I be expecting to see as far as deviation over a given distance?
Thanks!
