Hello,
I am going to order a Carve King 2 in a couple of weeks. I have decided to use to Ventric Desktop for my software. Considering this is my first CNC I am wondering once I get everything powered up and connected are there certain steps to I need to do to configure/search to make sure the software and KC2 see and play well with each other?
Thank you

A little 'eco' system for you. Vectric is great for design and toolpaths. You will be prompted to set the ck2 as your machine, and grbl as the post processor. Presuming you use the MR supplied UGS it will send the file that Vectric has generated for your machine. Vcarve, and your machine actually never talk (they can but thats another topic aka vtransfer). So when you get your machine together, you want to try 'jogging it" (moving) with UGS, and then homing. Make sure your base movement cmd is big enough to be able to see it move. Once you get your machine to jog and home, you take it to the starting position of your carve and set zero. UGS then runs the path file it generated.

Thank you. Now to go find out more info on that! Lol. Like I said total noob here with cnc. I am assuming (and we ALL know what that means.) the UGS is in the control box that when you connect your computer via usb cord and another window will open on the computer?

Just watched the video of the G code. The code is Very similar to what I train hospital staff on. Thanks again for the heads up!
