As promised, I shot just about every step of my build process to document my successes and failures to show the world.
Right now I'm in the stages of getting my act together as far as work flow, pre-processing of timelapse footage, feel of the series, and trying not to sound like a complete idiot on the mic.
Here is a test render from segment 1 that only covers the V-Wheel construction. Let me know what you think. It's a slow process.

Great video and great presentation. I think your series is going to be very helpful to those building Carve Kings.

Looking very good so far. I'm making a not to put "V wheel hardware is in the bag with v wheels" prominently in the instructions. You've got a good knack for instructional vids.

Still not through #1. It might just have to be a build log at this point with the amount of screwing up. I can't keep anything straight to make something with the x/y/z assemblies that can be cohesive. We'll see. I still haven't done the voiceovers for this yet and there still might be some hope. Once I get past all of the derp that happened in day 1 and 2, it will be smooth sailing.

Hi jkendall - did you ever come around making more build videos? I'm waiting for my Carve King to arrive and with no prior experience with anything like this, I started to search around for Carve King build videos, but had no luck finding anything yet.. Except for your first video here.
Really enjoyed your render video - you explain things nice and easy and have a really good narrative voice! Hope to see more from you.

Great work so far on the videos. I watched your unboxing video before I bought the C-K. Thanks for doing this.

I'm definitly looking forward to seeing your series. I started assembling my CK yesterday and made a post about using a socket and rubber mallet to seat the bearings. Then this morning I watched your teaser video and was like, crap did he allready drop this knowledge.
Great tip on not using an impact. Really easy to break stuff that way lol. I learned that wrenching on other peoples stuff😁
