Carve King Universal g code sender 1.0.9
My 3 Axis all seem to go the right direction. When I command to go to home, the Z homes up first, good, then the x&y home.
When I go to my set zero position the Z goes down first. then the x&y go. Not good. it is safer to go x&y first then z down.
So is there a ugs setting I need to change or should I keep the Z Axis up when I press "set zero position"?
Thanks, Jerry

I seem to remember one of the UGS versions having this as a bug. Don't know if that's your issue though. You are right that it's definitely not supposed to do that.
Two options, don't use "return to zero" button. Instead use G91 G28 X0 Y0 Z0. Remember though, if you issue that command, your bit better have a clear path as it doesn't raise it.
Or you could switch to UGS platform. It's a huge improvement over UGS classic anyway imo.

Thank you that worked.
I cant find where I set line length to 70. Is that in Platform also?
Also I can 't find where I can extend the travel to home position since it stops to soon sometimes.
Everything else is working perfect.
Fun machine.

Jerry: That stopping too soon is a firmware setting glitch. I apologize for that. Please set change these settings as such:
$130 = 432.000 (X-axis maximum travel, millimeters) $131 = 432.000 (Y-axis maximum travel, millimeters) $132 = 95.000 (Z-axis maximum travel, millimeters)
You would change settings 130 to 432 by typing $130=432 into the command line and then hitting enter. That will solve that problem.
In UGS 2.0, here is where you change it: Settings in the top left then G Code Processor Configuration. Then you'll see a line called "Command Length Processor." Click edit, and you will see this text in a pop-up window: { "commandLength": 50 } Change the 50 to 70.
In Platform: Tools at the top, then Options. Then click the UGS icon in the window that pops up. Click "Controller Options" tab. Click the edit button next to "Command Length Processor. Change 50 to 70. Click Apply

Ok, I did that and after a reboot I can see the changes are still there.
Thank you again, Jerry
