Do I have to do anything special for win xp o/s sp3. I started to put the electronics together and see that I have to plug it into my pc to test and was wondering if there is anything different I need to do aside from what is stated in the directions. I'm guessing the heat sink things go on the big chip.

You don't need the heat sinks... the fan will suffice. You can put them on, but I don't specify for them to be installed because they are prone to getting shifted on the chip because it's not being held with an actual heat sink adhesive. If it gets shifted you can short two terminals on the driver board and let the magic smoke out. You shouldn't need anything special with XP. Fusion doesn't run on XP though. Sometimes XP doesn't autoload drivers. If so, check this thread. The same stuff applies. millrightcnc.proboards.com/thread/118/windows-7-sp1-uno-driver
