I know I asked earlier about OS X, now I am thinking of dedicating a laptop or netbook (thanks for mentioning that Alex) as my controlling computer. That being said, I read through the FAX and I don't see a minimum systems requirements in that. Can someone tell me how cheap I can go on a system just to push code to my M3? I won't be doing any design on it. I'll leave that to my iMac or MacPro.

You can get away with some pretty low hardware requirements just to run the machine. I'm using this ASUS Transformer Book T100HA-C4-GR 10.1-Inch 2 in 1 Touchscreen Laptop (Cherry Trail Quad-Core Z8500 Processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB Storage, Windows 10), Gray www.amazon.com/dp/B014854RGK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_79GNzb3X89NR7 and I've never had a problem. It's more than enough.

So basically all I need is to be able to run Java (Chrome Browser or something like it) and enough disk space to store my GCode, and Ram to load it into memory while running Chrome and a USB port. Does it matter if it is USB 2 or does it need to be USB 3?

That's it. Don't see why it would need to be 3. However, I rather have too much than too little or adequate. Especially with very large operations.

So I think I found the perfect computer (for me) for my M3. It's and Acer 10.1 inch tablet that comes with a detachable keyboard. Since it will only be running UGS it didn't need to be a super computer and it was cheap and tiny! That is the base board of my M3 under it for scale. Ignore the Screensaver, Derek needs to provide some larger png MillRight logos somewhere. 2 gigs of Ram, Wifi, 3 USB ports, 32 gigs of flash drive, and a Micro HDSC slot. I like it cause it is small and will take up nearly zero room, and I can fold it up and put it away easily.
