Really all depends. I'm mechanically inclined and have all the right tools though I had never built a CNC before. Mine took a full night (all nighter) to build.
I'd say plan on 2-3 days if you're going to do it off and on taking your time. My advice, don't concern yourself with how long lol. Go slow, read the instructions through before building it, and make sure you know exactly what the directions mean before taking action lol.
Welcome to the MillRight family.

Thanks! I'm trying to figure out if I can do it at work (library) or not. I think I'm going to have to take it home. Since I'll be the one operating it, I wanted to put it together myself. Get to know the parts. But now I know this is not something I'll be able to do in a few hours during my work day. Thanks so much!

Well that just depends. Me, once I start I don't stop until it's done lol. If you can stand to work a couple hours a day over four days or so, then go for it. In my opinion, building it yourself is the absolute best way to go. You learn more that way.

The only time it made any noise was when I decided to test it here too.

My obnoxious answer is 3 months at least. Mine arrived in June and still isn't fully complete. Of course that is just my sloth. Seriously it has taken 5 or so evenings plus one Sat but I've also had distractions. If you can block out undisturbed time I'd say one day for the build and one more for fiddling with the electronics and software (that is the part that I have to finish today while I'm not at work).
