My Z Axis is a little loose, what's the best method for getting at the eccentric spacers? I can pop the top and the bottom plates off but I was wondering if anyone else had a better way. After I make my adjustments I plan on running the tuning exercise. millrightcnc.proboards.com/thread/35/fine-tuning-machine

With the right box wrench, I think you can get to the eccentric spacers without disassembling anything. You'll have to move the z axis up and down manually to get access to all of them.

Mostly agree. I think you'll have to pull the bottom though. Let us know if you end up know having to pull it though.

Evening Gents,
I ended up just pulling the top off the z-axis off and sliding the whole thing out, i adjusted the eccentric spacers and was able to slide it back down in. I did not take the bottom off because the whole thing felt fairly solid after making the adjustment from the top.

Especially with this new spindle mount it is impossible to adjust any of them.

Had the same issue and did the same thing. Removed the top of the Z axis and slid the whole ball of wax up and out. 1/8 of a turn out on each of the eccentric and tightened the nuts down good this time. I was getting a tilt on the spindle moving deeper through material. I thought the spindle mount was loose at first.
