I found this on on the YouTuber, it is about sign making but I found the CNC machine really interesting. Looks like a DIY unit from the get go with bicycle chain driven actuator control. I skipped the first half of the video to get to the machine.

I've seen that thing before. I really want to see this in person because I can not fathom how that thing makes a perpendicular cut. With the torque of a router I imagine that thing shifts a fair bit as it's cutting tilting one way or another.

Haha a 3D printed house. pretty cool. I have seen that Maslow CNC, router on a string thing. I agree, gotta see it in action.
