We have had a fair amount of inquiry about a laser set up. This is something we are looking at offering. I just wanted to get a feel for what you guys might be looking to do with a laser. There are a few ways we can go about it. Things like lasing all the way through thick wood are going to be out of the question though.
What is an attractive price point to you for an all in one laser attachment (laser, driver, mount, lens, safety glasses, etc)?
We would be happy to hear any input you have.

That would be awesome!!! This is one of the things that I found so attractive about the CNC Shark Pro. Their laser module runs $700.00 on Rockler (the only place I can find it). That seems a little steep. However, I don't know what cost would be for you to provide it. I guess if you think about it, you're not going to get a standalone laser engraver at that price so maybe it is fair. Any estimates on what it will cost yall to obtain and make work for our machines?

I don't want to put a figure on it yet because we are still surveying the market offerings. There are also some limitations that we have to hurdle. Don't expect anything world class, but it would be well south of the initial cost of the machine.

Well to be honest, I'd gladly pay the cost of the machine if not more for a decent laser module addition. But that's just me.

I agree with Aforww. Given what this machine is going for, a laser set up for about the same price the machines are selling for wouldn't be a bad deal. At that price, you could have a CNC machine with a laser set up with less of an investment than you would have for most other comparable hobby CNC machines alone.
