Having a fun time with the build so far... very well organized and labelled hardware, and clear instructions.
The first snag I'm running into is getting the spindle mount (Inventables Bosch Colt Mount) flush against the Z-Axis Plate without displacing the M5x30 bolt of the idle bearings assembly. You can see in my photos, below. The angle in the photos is definitely exaggerated since it is not fully tight there. But even after I really tighten it down there is still a slight gap beneath the bolt head on that side against the mount, and the idle bearing assembly angle is not quite parallel with the one next to it.
Maybe that won't matter, and I should proceed. Just curious, though, if anyone else with this mount has run into the issue? Thanks. (PS I tried flipping the mount, but the problem remains) - Dare

Ok, I would have sworn that the instructions recommended going into the TOP set of holes when possible. Haha, problem solved.
Don't build when low on sleep....

It's amazing I didn't have any issues in my build. I did it all in one night. I dreamt about M5 bolts when I finally went to sleep.

It happens to the best of us. By the way... this should be a shining example of the right way to ask for help. The illustrations were informative and had you not caught it already we would have been able to get you on track immediately.
For what it's worth, the holes are patterned in such a way as to accept a few different mounts such as the one you are using, the 400w spindle mount, the openbuilds mount, and the dw660 mount. The 400w spindle mount uses both top and bottom. The mount you are using would need to be notched to fit if mounted up top.... though we say mount to the bottom because mounting up top could put you too far from the bed.
