Any tips on engraving copper? Can I do it dry or need lubrication? What type of bit? This is for a Power Route machine.

I don’t remember ever engraving copper personally, but as a rule of thumb a little cutting fluid always goes well with cutting metals. I’d just use a foam brush to dab it into the area as it engraves. I would think a carbide V bit will do that just fine.

How about diamond drag engraving for 2D work?

It will also do quite well with that. Be sure to use a spring-loaded tool holder meant for the task.

How about diamond drag engraving for 2D work? Did you buy a diamond drag bit? I'm about to order one myself, if you did, can you report your experience with it?

I picked up the Vbit, diamond drag, and pyramid engraving bits, the diamond drag worked very well on the hardened steel dewalt wrench that came with my M3.
