drag chain plate......manual says****** Run an M5x10 screw through the aluminum angle and into the thread of the T nut, applying good forward pressure to catch the thread. are the 5x10 screws suppose to bottom out on the extrusion and leave the aluminum bracket loose? No they aren't, but this is not critical to machining, just gives the drag chain something to lay on. You could use washers between the screw heads and the angle to take up the slack or file some of threads off to make the screws shorter. Have you measured the screws to make sure they are the correct length?

got everything to the jog position on the carve king build. Having a issue with the side to side movement on the gantry axis. Forward and back work fine. the motor is turning and the lead screw is not turning. I am going to check the voltage today. I loosened the the coupler and re tightened it and seems to maybe not be able to turn the lead screw for some reason?

Does it seem like the motor is turning when it is coupled? If so then its still a matter of coupling. If not, then v wheels are clamped too tight or the antibacklash nut is too tight; or, if you are at an extreme end of travel on that axis then there might also be a misalignment issue. For instance, if the idler bearing block is pulling up on the screw from the place that it exits the antibacklash nut it will bind and stall. Does it make any different noise when its commanded to move but doesnt?

Two issues. #1 Got the first test run sent over to the machine. I am getting an error code when sent to start the project on UGS. I cancel out the error code (T1M6 (error 20) hit send again and it starts to run. But has done this on each attempt to send to machine. photo attached 2 Machine will not find the homing switches. When typing $H in command. It moves on the Z axis and tops out and stops. With error

The error on T1M6 is just a warning telling you that the g code commanded a tool change command. It's just warning you to make sure you realize that it's doing that so you don't accidentally run two ops that are supposed to have two different tools with the same tool. It can be set to ignore this with the "pattern remover" in the settings.
What error do you get when it hits the top and stops? If you turn on verbose output do you get Pn:Z when you press the Z? See our video on homing in the video tutorial sticky in the general forum please. It will show you how to access that option. Can you also post your settings please? You can view them by typing $$ in the command line and pressing enter? Just screen shot or copy and paste them here.

Assuming that verbose output screenshot was while you were pressing the Z switch, it isn't being detected from what I see. Is it running to the top and continuing to drive into the switch before the homing errors out? What happens if you do verbose output while pressing X and Y? Which leads on the switch is it on and how do you have it plugged into the red board?

That side looks good. Is the black to COM and red to BO on the switch side? What happens in verbose output when you press X and Y switches?

At one time something was up with our firmware flashes. I bet if you nice the Z switch down to SpEn it will start working.

The one along the X anchors to the piece of aluminum angle that attaches to the top X rail. The One along the Y attaches with wood screws to the wood piece at the bottom of the electronics enclosure.

sorry. i saw that after I posted. Now I am at the point of it should be running but my rest jog didn't work. I see where it says connected. and I hear the motors click in ( similar to my shop bot ) but the jog switches don't work and it says off line. also the z axis line is not highlighted like x and y. I'm running on Windows Vista.
