Vista? That's an oldie. I'm sure it didn't autoload the drivers. This link will give some guidance on manually pointing to a driver. millrightcnc.proboards.com/thread/118/manual-installation-uno-board-driversI'm sure it will vary a little bit with Vista, but the concept is the same. Also make sure you have the baud rate set to 115200 in UGS. It won't boot if that baud rate isn't set.

At one time something was up with our firmware flashes. I bet if you nice the Z switch down to SpEn it will start working. This did the trick. I got a little time to run some stuff this week. Running pretty good. Had one little bump into my vise ouch..Here is a few pics of the set up, and some plastic I cut for some projects. I got a little creative with my vise attachment, but works great for what I am doing. Thanks for your continued support.

Awesome. Congrats on churning out parts. Vise crashes happen. The key is to make it happen less often as time goes by, lol.

Two issues. #1 Got the first test run sent over to the machine. I am getting an error code when sent to start the project on UGS. I cancel out the error code (T1M6 (error 20) hit send again and it starts to run. But has done this on each attempt to send to machine. photo attached 2 Machine will not find the homing switches. When typing $H in command. It moves on the Z axis and tops out and stops. With error any idea how I can remove that T1m6 error code? I google it but no good results.

Yes. You can either strip that line from the g code using a text editor (such as Notepad) or add M6 to the pattern remover in UGS.
Go to Tools/Options, then click the UGS icon at the top of the window that pops up. Select controller options from the menu bar at the top. Down at the bottom you'll see a "Regular Expression Pattern Remover". It will probably be empty. Click the "Add" button above that. Type "M6" in the field. Apply, then Ok.
Hope that helps.
