On that topic, I have a video coming out in the next few weeks that has gratuitous shots of the M3 in action. I'm building a bar in my house and couldn't pass up the chance to shoot the thing making custom parts and "make pretty" parts. I'll be sure to drop it somewhere on this forum.

Very nice! Looove canary yellow. I was just talking to a guy at Autozone about an hour ago about picking up a Nova for another classic car project. I've only done one and it's one of my biggest regrets. Not the car but having to abandon it. It was a 70 Chevelle SS clone. I got lucky and scored an original SS Hood with a working cowl, an original SS dash with all the SS gauges, and get this, an SS BENCH seat. Had a 396 worked over to a 400ci. Weiland blown on two Edelbrock 650's perched atop an Edelbrock intake. All that mated to a Turbo400 tranny putting an inappropriate amount of power to some MT DOT slicks on Krager 15" by 15" wide Chrome SS wheels out back, 15x9 up front. Ugly as sin but ran like a pissed off Banshee. I was 16 and learning my way around fast cars all on my own. I wrecked it. Joined the Army and that was the last I ever saw of her. My mom parted her out to take care of some financial problems with my approval. Broke my heart. Can you tell? lol What ya running under the top of that sexy girl?

406 small block. Gets up and goes really well Most people only go for a ride one time and they're done lol Had a 67 Chevy II back in high school. Loved that car, but ended up moving away and eventually my uncle sold it for me. Regretted it ever since! So about 2 years ago this one came onto the market and I snagged it. Only thing that wasn't finished was the interior so I had that done last year. This year I think I'm swapping out to rack and pinion. That engine is so shoe horned into it, the steering box doesn't sit right. It's not lose, but just doesn't feel right.

IF I do another project, I'll have to decide: Another 70 Chevelle, 42 Chevy P/U, or if I can find one, a 57 Nomad.

I had a friend in Oregon that runs a 55 Nomad 1/8th mile car. They use to haul it with their other 55 nomad lol was an awesome site to see! My next project is going to be a mid 60's bug. But with a kid in college, the funding just isn't there! lol

You guys are my kind of people. I just bought a truck, but if I had more time I would have done something like a 60s pickup and put some modern amenities on it.
I have a 76 Corvette that I need to finish. I did the interior and replaced the floorpans (yes they were metal not fiberglass pans). Not so funny story on that car... I bought it about five years ago. On the way home, literally 30 minutes after buying it the tread on the front passenger tire separated and was getting slung around in the wheel well (that is fiberglass), tearing it all up. I was less than thrilled.

As a new-ish dad (little guy is almost 2 years old), I still don't have "free time", but I do try to keep up with some hobbies. I like working on projects in my garage/shop (working with my hands is a great change of pace from sitting in my cube all day), shooting/hunting when I have the ability (not much in the last couple years, but hopefully going to get to hunt this fall), and I'm a middling beer nerd. I also have a minor addiction to cooking, and currently I'm loving working with my smoker - trying new recipes, ideas. Just made a pastrami, and the family loved it.
Previously my biggest hobby was photography, which grew into a small business, had a couple motorcycles and a project 73 Beetle.

Could have been worse. My first "accident" in that Chevelle was right after I bought it. Had a new motor put in, then took it for the transmission swap and a new Posi rear end. I pulled out of the shop, got on the highway and gave it a rolling go from about 30mph. I sheared all five lugs on the right rear. I skidded to a halt as my wheel and tire proceeded down the road. Apparently, it would have been a good idea to replace the 27-year-old lugs. Who woulda thought?... lol.

I dabble in a bunch of things. I read a lot for one, mostly fantasy/scifi stuff. I mountain board during the warmer months And Snowboard when it snows. I build and race RC trucks. And I love music, I'm a bit of a metal head.
